Today in Golf – Max Homa a DFS Favorite for Arnold Palmer Invitational, DP World Tour Delays LIV ruling and more

Mike McClure offers his top daily Fantasy golf picks for the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational on FanDuel and DraftKings

Jason Day has been performing consistently in recent weeks, having finished in the top nine or better in three consecutive starts, with a top-five finish at the WM Phoenix Open. His projected performance makes him one of McClure’s top PGA DFS picks for the Arnold Palmer Invitational 2023 on DraftKings ($8,500) and FanDuel ($10,500).

Max Homa is a strong pick for DraftKings and FanDuel at $9,700 and $11,600 respectively. His success in this event this week is not in question as he has good stats like second-place putts per round (27.39), a 3rd position average putt of 1.672, a fourth-place one-punt percentage of 46.63, and fifth-place strokes gained: putting (1.025).

The delays in the announcements regarding the LIV Golf and DP World Tour create uncertainty surrounding the upcoming Ryder Cup.

LIV Golf has had difficulty establishing itself as a recognized and respected league. Both PGA Tour and DP World Tour have resisted allowing LIV Golf players to join their events. However, the latter were unable to prevent Saudi golfers from competing in tournaments last year due to court delays.

For the DP World Tour, things have not changed much. The final verdict in the case has been postponed once again. According to Sports Resolutions in London’s Arbitration Panel Hearing in February, it is anticipated that the final decision will take 2-4 months to be announced. Initially, players and organizations believed they would hear the result in two or three weeks after the panel hearing.
