2023 Genesis Invitational DFS Picks

Rick Gehman from Golf Digest lays out some of his favorite DFS picks for the Genesis Invitational 2023 at Riviera Country Club and the TMRW Golf League.

Jon Rahm ($11,100 DraftKings | $12,200 FanDuel)

Despite not having his best game in Phoenix, Rahm stayed in contention for the duration of the event. According to RickRunGood.com’s golf database, he has been gaining 3.01 strokes per round during the last 36 rounds—making him the top performer on tour. With Riviera offering more favorable circumstances off-the-tee than TPC Scottsdale, Rahm has the right skills and knowledge to contend again this week.

Sam Burns ($9,100 DraftKings | $10,600 FanDuel)

Burns is silently emerging from a T-7 at the Phoenix Open and achieved a T-11 at The American Express. His interlaced data demonstrates a complete golfer who is able to view strong confrontations. He was in the lead at this tournament in 2021 heading into the final nine holes on Sunday. He struggled and ended up third, yet has since accumulated four PGA Tour successes following that disappointment.

Adrian Meronk ($6,900 DraftKings | $8,500 FanDuel)

Recently, Meronk has been making a name for himself on the DP World Tour with wins at the Australian Open, a T-10 finish in Abu Dhabi, and a T-4 finish most recently at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship. His approach to playing is unique as he’s equal parts, long driver and accomplished technician. He needs to transfer this global success onto the PGA Tour, but his skill set lends itself perfectly to Riviera.

On the eve of his latest comeback, Tiger Woods teased a showdown at the Masters Tournament

Tiger Woods confessed he doesn’t know how he’ll react when he sees the players of the LIV Golf League in the 87th Masters tournament, acknowledging his difficulty in walking 72 holes ahead of his return.

Speaking before the event, Woods revealed:

  • His recovery has been going well
  • The plantar fasciitis he had has improved, but now his right ankle is giving him more trouble.
  • He has been consistently honing his skills with consistent ball-hitting practice at his house in Jupiter.
  • Woods commented that Rory McIlroy has faced difficulty this year, yet he remains an “exceptional” ambassador for the PGA Tour as they work to overcome their competition with a new rival tour.
  • This week, he’s playing to win and can’t fathom the idea of merely attending a golf tournament as a non-competing participant.
